Liberty in North Korea is an international NGO working with the North Korean people as they achieve their liberty. LiNK helps North Korean refugees escape through a 3,000-mile secret rescue route and empowers North Koreans who have reached freedom to be changemakers, advocates, and leaders on this issue.
Our story begins with the grandparents of one of our members. During the Korean War, they were sent to South Korea with their siblings, separated from their parents at a young age. Despite the hardships, they built new lives and provided for their families. Inspired by their journey, we want to support those seeking a fresh start and the freedom to create a better future. Our mission is to make this process smoother and help people reach their new homes successfully.
Coming from a family where both my paternal grandparents were refugees of North Korea during the Korean War, I was always interested in learning more about their story. Taking on their legacy, I want to help those seeking liberty have a smooth transition to their new home.
Our organization is built on compassion and inclusivity, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need. As members of Compassion Crew, we are dedicated to making a positive impact and always strive to support those around us or far away.
